Privacy policy
Tsawwassen.com is operated by Digified Media. This page says what the site collects when you visit or send us a message, what we do with it and how to have it removed. The short version: you can read every page without telling us who you are.
When you visit
Server logs. Like any website, the server that sends you a page records the request: your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, the page you came from and the kind of browser you use. We use these logs to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are deleted after about two weeks, though a backup of the server can hold a copy for longer.
Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how people find them. It sets cookies in your browser and records the pages you view, the kind of device and browser you use, your approximate location and the site that sent you here. Google processes that information on its own servers, and Google's own page explains how it uses data from sites like this one. We see totals and trends. We don't see your name or your email address.
To stay out of those statistics, block cookies for this site in your browser or install Google's opt-out add-on. Every page works the same either way.

When you send us a message
We receive what you put in it, which is usually your name, your email address and the message itself. The message is stored in the site's database and sent to us by email. We use it to answer you and to correct the site, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
We keep messages for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of what was corrected. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Who else sees it
We don't sell personal information. It is handled by the companies that provide the site's hosting, email delivery and statistics, and only so they can provide those services. We would also release information if the law required it.
Where it is stored
The site is hosted in the United States, and Google processes visit statistics on servers in several countries. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of the country where it is held.

Our pages link to BC Ferries, TransLink, the City of Delta and other sites we don't run. Each has its own privacy policy.
Seeing, correcting or removing your information
Ask through the contact page and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct it or delete it. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
When the way the site handles information changes, this page changes with it, and the date below shows when it last did.
