Tsawwassen.com is a local guide to Tsawwassen, British Columbia: the ferry terminal, the mall, the beaches and the businesses in between. It's privately owned and operated by Digified Media, a company that builds and runs local websites.

What the site is for

People look up Tsawwassen for practical reasons. They're catching a ferry, looking for a store, checking the tide before a walk on the flats or trying to find a local business. Each of those questions should have one page that answers it, and that's what we're building. The homepage lists every section that's open.

How pages stay current

Some pages are written guides, like the ferry terminal guide. We write those so they stay true. Anything that changes often, such as hours, fares, parking rates and sailing times, isn't typed into the page. We tell you who sets it and link to where they publish it.

Other pages are built from published data. A block of data on this site names its source and shows when it was last fetched. If a feed stops updating, the block comes off the page and the link to the official source stays.

Where the information comes from

Every fact in a written guide is checked against a primary source before it goes up: the operator's own pages, open government data or OpenStreetMap. The sources behind the data pages, and the credit each one asks for, are on the data sources page.
